MINSK, 24 February (BelTA) – Iryna Zhuk of Belarus placed fifth in the Women's Pole Vault at the international athletics meeting which took place in Clermont-Ferrand, France on 23 February, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Athletics Federation.
The Belarusian cleared 4.46m in her first attempt. She was successful with 4.56m in her second attempt but failed to clear 4.66m and finished fifth.
The event was won by Sandi Morris of the United States (4.80m). Second was Cuba's Yarisley Silva (4.74m). Slovenia's Tina Sutej was third (4.74m).
