Iryna Kryuko wins IBU OECH Pursuit silver, Russia's Ekaterina Yurlova–Percht takes gold

MINSK, 25 February (BelTA) – Russia's Ekaterina Yurlova–Percht won Women 10K Pursuit of the 2019 IBU Open European Championships in Raubichi in 27:43.4 with one penalty on 24 February, BelTA has learned.

Silver went to Belarus' Iryna Kryuko with one penalty, 37.5 seconds back. Bronze was collected by Germany's Nadine Horchler, with one penalty, 49.4 seconds behind the leader.

Belarus' Elena Kruchinkina finished 23rd, with two penalties, 2:20.6 back, Dzinara Alimbekava – 24th, with five penalties, 2:33.3 seconds, Darya Yurkevich – 28th, with two penalties, 2:47.1 back, Irina Kruchinkina was 46th, with seven penalties, 4:55.2 back.

Swedish biathletes did not take part in the race. After their triumph in the women's individual and sprint they went home to prepare for the IBU World Championships Biathlon in Oestersund.

A total of 53 athletes took part in the pursuit race.

The IBU Open European Championships in Raubichi featured the best biathletes from Russia and Sweden. Well-known biathletes came from Norway, Germany and Ukraine. Belarus also welcomed biathletes from the United States, Canada, China, Australia and Kazakhstan. A total of 295 biathletes took part in the continental sport forum.
