MINSK, 23 November (BelTA) – Belarus' world number 113 Ilya Ivashka won the Sparkasse Challenger in Italy's Ortisei, BelTA has learned.
In the final the Belarusian defeated world number 126 Antoine Hoang of France 6-4, 3-6, 7-6 (7-3) in two hours and 20 minutes.
On the way to the victory Ilya Ivashka cruised past Italy's world number 222 Matteo Viola 6-1, 6-1, saw off Germany's world number 311 Johannes Haerteis 7-6 (8-6), 6-3, solved world number 197 Tomas Machac of the Czech Republic 7-6 (7-4), 7-6 (7-5) and beat Russia's world number 111 Aslan Karatsev 6-4, 6-4.
