IIHF Congress names Worlds hosts through 2025

MINSK, 24 May (BelTA) – The 2019 IIHF Annual Congress has assigned the hosting rights for the IIHF Ice Hockey Championships through 2025, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Ice Hockey Federation.

The 2023 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship will take place in St. Petersburg, Russia. Games will be held at two arenas, with one of which is yet to be built. The 2024 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship will take place in the Czech Republic.

Sweden and Denmark will co-host the event in 2025. The cities are yet to be determined.

The 2020 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship will be hosted by Switzerland. The 2021 edition will be co-hosted by Belarus and Latvia. Finland will be the host of the event in 2022.
