MINSK, 10 February (BelTA) – Belarus' Ignat Golovatsiuk placed 4th in the 500m Men Division B at the ISU World Cup Speed Skating in Calgary, Canada, BelTA has learned.
The Belarusian clocked 34.719 seconds to set his personal record in the discipline. Daichi Yamanaka of Japan won the event in 34.236 points. Second was Poland's Artur Nogal (34.641 points). Bronze went to Jesper Hospes of the Netherlands (34.706 points).
The athletes of Japan and Poland also set new personal records in the event.
In the 1,500m Men Division B Belarus' Vitaly Mikhailov placed 22nd. Anna Kovaleva of Belarus finished 14th in the 3,000m Women Division B, Hanna Nifantava was 21st in the 1,000m Women Division B.
