MINSK, 20 November (BelTA) – Silver medalist of the Belarusian Ice Hockey Championship, Neman Grodno, has submitted a bid to host the IIHF Continental Cup Super Final, BelTA learned from the official account of HC Neman Grodno.
The tournament is scheduled for 10-12 January 2020. The bidders also including Cracovia (Poland), SonderjyskE Ishockey (Denmark), and Nottingham Panthers (the UK). The decision on the host of the tournament will be taken in early December.
The Continental Cup is an ice hockey tournament held under the aegis of the IIHF since 1997. Belarus has won the trophy four times. HC Neman Grodno won the 2014/15 edition. HC Minsk Yunost has won the tournament three times.
