MINSK, 30 December (BelTA) – In the run-up to the New Year holidays, players of HC Dinamo Minsk attended a training session at the Ruslan Salei junior sport school of Olympic reserve, BelTA learned from the press service of the Presidential Sports Club.
Despite the business schedule of the KHL regular championship, the players found time to meet with young players. The HC Dinamo Minsk delegation included goalkeeper Aleksei Kolosov, defensemen Dmitry Deryabin, Stepan Falkovsky and Vladislav Yeryomenko and forward Maksim Sushko.
The Dinamo Minsk men and the young players did a set of different exercises. The joint practice wrapped up with a match on the suggestion of Stepan Falkovsky.
"We understand how important such meetings are for young hockey players. The guys were eager to talk to us. We trained together and and had a lot of fun. We were children once and also rejoiced at an opportunity to meet with professional hockey players. It's really cool!” forward Maksim Sushko said.
The Ruslan Salei junior sport school of Olympic reserve was formed in September 2020 by the merger of two Minsk ice hockey schools: Minsk sports club and the junior sport school of Olympic reserve of the Minsk City Hall.
More than 650 children aged between 5 and 18 are enrolled in the school which was named after one of the best players in the history of Belarusian hockey Ruslan Salei. Students take part in Belarus' open championship, national competitions and various international tournaments.
