HC Dinamo Minsk break losing streak with dramatic win over HC Admiral Vladivostok

MINSK, 13 January (BelTA) – HC Dinamo Minsk have ended their losing streak in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) regular season, BelTA has learned.

In their first home game of 2026, Dmitri Kvartalnov’s squad hosted the Eastern Conference underdog, HC Admiral Vladivostok. Ahead of the face-off, defenseman Xavier Ouellet found himself on the injury report. On a positive note, forward Stanislav Galiev was back in action after recovering. Ilya Usov and the KHL’s leading scorer Sam Anas missed the game against the Vladivostok side due to illness.
The first period ended goalless, but the guests grabbed the lead at the start of the second frame with a power-play goal. Early in the third, the Minsk players finally beat the goaltender, only for Yegor Borikov’s marker to be called back following a review for offside.

HC Dinamo Minsk finally got on the board with just four minutes left in the third, courtesy of a shorthanded goal from Alex Limoges. Just as the contest was slipping into overtime, Vadim Moroz struck with 17 seconds to go, delivering a dramatic 2-1 win for the hosts.
The Minsk team will next face a challenging four-game road trip, with fixtures slated against HC Severstal Cherepovets on 15 January, HC Dynamo Moscow on 17 January, HC SKA Saint Petersburg on 19 January, and HC Lokomotiv Yaroslavl on 21 January.
