MINSK, 6 October (BelTA) – Belarus' world number 138 Olga Govortsova was unable to make it through to the Indian Wells main draw, losing to Kazakhstan's world number 108 Zarina Diyas, 3-6, 3-6, in the second qualifying round, BelTA has learned.
Competing at the Indian Wells will be Belarus' Aliaksandra Sasnovich and Victoria Azarenka.
Belarus' world number 100 Aliaksandra Sasnovich will face world number 71 Maraa Camila Osorio Serrano of Colombia in the opener. Belarus' world number 32 Victoria Azarenka will open against either world number 54 Magda Linette of Poland or world number 76 Rebecca Peterson of Sweden.
