Gomel to host international judo tournament

GOMEL, 20 March (BelTA) – The second edition of the international judo tournament Pride Cup will take place in Gomel on 23 March, BelTA learned from the organizing committee.

Nearly 1,000 athletes from 10 countries will gather in Gomel for the tournament. Applications were received from Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Israel.

The participants will compete in three age groups: 2006-2007, 2008-2009 and 2010-2011. The winners and prize holders will get cups and medals, as well as sports gear.

On 24 March the young hopefuls will be invited to attend a master class by world-class athletes.
