Flame of Peace relay reaches agro-town of Vertelishki, Grodno District
The Flame of Peace relay of the 2nd European Games is making its way through Grodno Oblast. After Grodno the flame went to the agro-town of Vertelishki.
The torchbearers were Hero of Belarus Vasily Revyako, the chairman of the agricultural productive cooperative Progress Vertelishki, Deputy Director at Gudevichi Company, winner of the nationwide meeting Olympia 2018 Andrei Poloiko, TV host at the Second National TV Channel Olga Kurishko.
A total of 46 people will carry the torch across Grodno Oblast. The flame will travel through the region until 23 May before setting off to Vitebsk Oblast. The 2nd European Games will take place in Minsk on 21-30 June. Over 4,000 athletes from 50 countries will compete in 200 medal events in 15 sports.
