FC Dynamo Kyiv part ways with head coach Alyaksandr Khatskevich

MINSK, 14 August (BelTA) – Belarusian specialist Alyaksandr Khatskevich has been fired as head coach of FC Dynamo Kyiv, BelTA learned from the press service of the Ukrainian team.

FC Dynamo Kyiv has decided to cease cooperation with head coach Alyaksandr Khatskevich. All the coaching staff have been fired as well. The club thanks Alyaksandr Khatskevich and his assistants for all of hard work over the course of the last two years. We wish him all the best moving forward,” said the press service of the team.

One of the reasons for the resignation was the team's failure to reach the Champions League playoff. The Kievan team lost 0-1 to Belgium's Brugge KV in the first leg, and led three times 1-0, 2-1 and 3-2 in the second leg on 13 August, but failed to keep the advantage (3-3). Dynamo Kyiv will continue the season in the Europa League with a new coach whose name will be made public later.
