Experience of foreign professionals viewed as useful to Belarusian coaches

MINSK, 4 January (BelTA) – Experience of foreign professionals will prove useful to Belarusian coaches and managers, Deputy Chairman of the Belarusian Ice Hockey Federation, Member of the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) Sergey Goncharov, said during Christmas Hockey Forum hosted by the National the Olympic Committee of Belarus

“The Christmas International Amateur Ice Hockey Tournament has brought together guests from 27 countries, who represent various national federations. This is a good opportunity to exchange experiences. The forum is much needed and very useful for Belarusian specialists. Coaches and managers need to learn continuously. The hockey forum has drawn more than 100 specialists, 30-40 coaches and managers from abroad. The Belarusian Ice Hockey Federation asked every region of Belarus to send children's coaches so that they could learn from foreign professionals, their experiences and best practices,” Sergey Goncharov said.

The Christmas Hockey Forum will conclude its work tonight. The Belarusian Ice Hockey Federation plans to organize similar seminars for domestic specialists in the future.
