Europa League: Greek referees to umpire Dinamo Minsk vs Lincoln match

MINSK, 14 August (BelTA) - The Europa League third qualifying round match between FC Dinamo Minsk and Lincoln Red Imps in Europa Point Stadium in Gibraltar will be umpired by a team of Greek referees on 15 August, BelTA has learned.

The team of referees will be led by 39-year-old Anastasios Papapetrou. In August 2018 Papapetrou umpired the Europa League match between Dinamo Minsk and Zenit St. Petersburg in Minsk. Dinamo Minsk blanked the visitors 4-0 then. His assistant referees will be Tryfon Petropoulos and Iordanis Aptosoglou. Alexandros Tsakalidis will be the fourth official. Angelos Evangelou will be the video assistant referee.

In the first leg in Mezőkövesd, Hungary on 8 August Dinamo Minsk defeated Lincoln 2-0.

The winner will compete for a spot in the Europa League main stage against R.S.C. Anderlecht. The loser will be relegated to the Conference League playoffs to face either FC Ballkani or Larne F.C. The Northern Irish team edged its opponent in an away fixture 1-0 last week.

FC Dinamo Minsk kicked off the current season in the Champions League. In the first qualifying round Dinamo Minsk prevailed over FC Pyunik (0-0 and 1-0). Then the Belarusians lost to PFC Ludogorets Razgrad (0-2 and 1-0) to get transferred to the Europa League.
