MINSK, 4 March (BelTA) – Elvira Herman of Belarus won the 60m Hurdles bronze at the 2019 European Athletics Indoor Championships in Glasgow, BelTA has learned.
The Belarusian clocked 8.00 seconds. Nadine Visser of the Netherlands clinched gold in 7.87 seconds. Cindy Roleder came in second in 7.87 seconds.
Elvira Herman is a reigning European champion in the 100m Hurdles. In August 2018 the Belarusian clinched gold in Berlin.
Alina Talay of Belarus did not make it to the final in Glasgow. Earlier, Alina Talay was victorious in the 60m hurdles event at the European Athletics Indoor Championships inn 2013 and 2015. In 2017 she claimed silver.
Belarusian shot putter Alyona Dubitskaya finished fourth in Glasgow with her best attempt of 18m71cm. Radoslava Mavrodieva of Bulgaria won with her attempt of 19m12cm.
