Dzinara Alimbekava wins Women's 7.5km Sprint in Hochfilzen

MINSK, 11 December (BelTA) – Belarus' Dzinara Alimbekava won the Women's 7.5km Sprint of BMW IBU World Cup Biathlon 3 in Hochfilzen, Austria on 11 December, BelTA has learned.

The clean-shooting Belarusian clocked 20:12.3.

Second was Norway's Tiril Eckhoff, 8.5 seconds behind the winner and one penalty. Franziska Preuss of Germany finished third, 9.9 seconds back and also one penalty.

As for other Belarusian biathletes, Iryna Kryuko was 17th, 49.8 seconds back, one penalty, Hanna Sola was 42nd, 1:31.9 behind the winner and three penalties, and Elena Kruchinkina was 57th, 2:01.3 back and three penalties.

Belarus at the Men's 10km Sprint will be represented by Maksim Varabei, Anton Smolski, Sergei Bocharnikov, Raman Yaliotnau, and Mikita Labastau.
