MINSK, 16 November (BelTA) - The Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) has named the best players of the regular-season tenth week (including the games on 7-8 November) in four categories, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ice Hockey Federation.
Dinamo Minsk's Dominik Furch was named the best goalie. He won three of three away games. In the match against Sibir Novosibirsk, the goalie posted his first shutout in the current season. Furch faced a total of 98 shots, saving the 97.96% (best figure of the week). He also posted a goals-against average of 0.67 (the best figure of the week as well).
Best rookie was Dinamo Minsk forward Alexei Protas, who scored 3 (1+2) points in three away games. In the Wednesday match against Sibir Novosibirsk, the Belarusian forward scored his fifth goal in the season. The player averaged 12:10 of ice time, recorded one hit, and blocked one shot from the opposition.
Viktor Antipin from HC SKA was named the best defenseman, Libor Hudacek from HC Neftekhimik – the best forward.
