Dinamo Minsk secure first win under new head coach

MINSK, 13 November (BelTA) – HC Dinamo Minsk defeated the visiting Traktor Chelyabinsk 3-1 in the KHL action to secure the first win under new head coach Andrei Sidorenko at Chizhovka Arena on 12 November, BelTA has learned.

The Minskers created a two-goal cushion at the start of the opening period. Sergei Kostitsyn scored after 43 seconds and Dmitry Buinitsky doubled the lead five minutes into the game.

Traktor responded with a goal from Artyom Borodkin late in the first period.

Artyom Volkov's second-stanza strike, however, restored Dinamo's two-goal advantage.

The Bisons will next host Metallurg Magnitogorsk on 14 November and will wrap up the home series against Avtomobilist Yekaterinburg on 16 November. After 26 games Dinamo Minsk has 18 points.
