Dinamo Minsk beat Traktor 5-3 at home

MINSK, 4 October (BelTA) – HC Dinamo Minsk extended their winning streak with a 5-3 victory over the visiting Traktor Chelyabinsk in the KHL action on 3 October, BelTA has learned.

Dinamo's 19-year-old forward Ilya Kazyanin marked his second appearance in the league with an opening goal of the game in the fifth minute. His goal was followed up by Andrei Stepanov 26 seconds later as Dinamo extended the lead.

The home team continued to impress in the second period, making it 4-1. Jesse Virtanen got Traktor on the scoreboard, but Marc-Andre Gragnani and ex-Chelyabinsk forward Francis Pare kept the Bison in the front.

Another rookie goalscorer brought the game back to life early in the third. Demid Mansurov, also 19, made his KHL debut for Traktor and his effort kickstarted a revival for the visitor in the final session. Anton Glinkin made it a one-goal game, but the fightback ended on Shane Prince's empty-net goal in the last seconds of the game.

In the previous home match against HC Sochi the Bisons took an overtime win 2-1. In the away series prior to that Dinamo Minsk dropped three games against Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod, Severstal Cherepovets and Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk.

The Bisons will be back in action on 6 October as they host Ak Bars Kazan.
