The biggest surprise of the evening for me was the IBU medal of honor. The organization was founded approximately at the time I started training. I am proud that we have been growing simultaneously, Darya Domracheva said in her Instagram account.

The Belarusian also wished good luck to the newly elected IBU president Olle Dahlin in leading biathlon into the future. The famous Norwegian athlete Ole Einar Bjoerndalen, Darya Domracheva's husband, also received the medal of honor of IBU.
