CEV European Cups draw due in Luxembourg on 21 August

MINSK, 31 July (BelTA) – A draw ceremony of the CEV European Cups will take place in Luxembourg on 21 August, BelTA learned from press attache of the Belarusian Volleyball Federation Yelizaveta Anikevich.

Belarus' Stroitel and Shakhtyor Soligorsk will start their campaign in the Champions League (Men). Minchanka will compete in the Champions League (Women).

All three teams will kick off the tournaments from the qualification phase which starts on 22 September. Changes are possible depending on the epidemiological situation in the participating countries.

Teams failing to go through the qualification phase will be relegated to the CEV Cup. The rest with compete in the Champions League group stage which kicks off on 10 November. According to the regulations of the men's and women's Champions League 2020/2021, the group stage will feature 20 teams divided into five groups. Matches will be played in two rounds. The quarterfinals, semifinals and the superfinal will be played in Berlin.
