Bronze for Belarus' Kseniya Stankevich at 2020 European Wrestling Championships

MINSK, 14 February (BelTA) – Kseniya Stankevich of Belarus (50kg) clinched bronze at the 2020 UWW European Wrestling Championships in Rome, Italy, BelTA has learned.

The Belarusian defeated Emilia Budeanu of Moldova to claim the place on the podium. Bronze also went to Russia's Milana Dadasheva. The event was won by Bulgaria's Miglena Selishka. Silver was collected by Ukraine's Oksana Livach.

Belarus' Vanesa Kaladzinskaya has reached the 53kg final.

Earlier, Maksim Nehoda of Belarus (63kg) won the Greco-Roman gold at the 2020 UWW European Wrestling Championships.

The competitions will finish on 16 February.

Belarus won four medals at the 2019 European Wrestling Championships in Bucharest, Romania. Aliaksandr Hushtyn clinched silver in the 97kg event, Ali Shabanov secured bronze in the 86kg event, Kseniya Stankevich (50kg) and Vanesa Kaladzinskaya (53kg) both collected bronze medals.
