Bronze for Belarus' Ksenia Stankevich at 2019 European Wrestling Championship

MINSK, 12 April (BelTA) – Belarus' Ksenia Stankevich (-50kg weight category) claimed bronze at the 2019 European Wrestling Championship in Bucharest, Romania, BelTA has learned.

The Belarusian defeated Frederika Petersson from Sweden and Iwona Matkowska from Poland, and lost in the semifinal to Miglena Georgieva Selishka from Bulgaria who reached the final to finish second behind Oksana Livach from Ukraine. In the bronze medal game the Belarusian defeated Stefania Priceputu from Romania.

In the women's -55kg event Belarus' Zalina Sidakova placed fifth.
