MINSK, 30 October (BelTA) – The Belarusian Volleyball Federation and the Al Ain Club signed an agreement on cooperation during a visit of a Belarusian volleyball delegation to the UAE, BelTA learned from the press service of the federation
The document was signed by Secretary General of the Belarusian Volleyball Federation Alla Teterina and Khamis Obaid Al Kaabi, Chairman of the Al Ain Club for Sports Games Company.
According to Alla Teterina, this is a big step forward for the Belarusian volleyball. "We used to have cooperation agreements only with neighboring European countries. The United Arab Emirates is a completely new country for us with fascinating history and culture. It is very interesting for us to expand the geography, let alone cooperate with the country that has made huge advances in many areas, including in sport and other sectors. We are confident that our cooperation will be productive and mutually beneficial," she said.
The Belarusian volleyball delegation is visiting the UAE in accordance with a memorandum of cooperation between the President's Sports Club and the Abu Dhabi Sports Council. Earlier, the parties held a meeting to identify the areas of joint work in the development of volleyball in Belarus and Abu Dhabi and coordinated the provisions of the agreement. The document provides for the exchange of scientific and methodological information; arrangement of joint training camps, tournaments, matches; sharing of coaching experience and organizing joint workshops; joint training of youth and youth teams ahead of major international events and cooperation in player transfers.More about Sport
