MINSK, 4 September (BelTA) - Belarusian weightlifter Vyacheslav Khoroneko is preparing to break set a new world weightlifting record, BelTA has learned.
On Saturday, 5 September, the famous strongman will make an effort to set a new record. He is going to lift s 24kg kettlebell 175 times in no more than 173 seconds during the Open Day at the Pervomaisky Physical Training and Recreation Center Uruchye, said director of the center Viktor Ivanovsky. The athlete set his previous record (170 kettlebell swings in 163 seconds) in early April. In total, his weightlifting record makes up more than 160 achievements.
A clinic in street lifting will be given by another famous Belarusian strongman Sergei Zaslavsky, who holds a world record for push-ups on parallel bars and a world record in the Guinness Book of Records for push-ups on fists in 30 seconds.
