Belarusian athletes to compete in European Race Walking Team Championships in Czechia

MINSK, 13 May (BelTA) - Belarusian athletes will compete in the European Race Walking Team Championships which will be held in Podebrady, Czech Republic on 16 May, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Athletics Federation.

Belarus men's team will include Dzmitry Dziubin, Mikita Kaliada, Dzmitry Lukyanchuk, Aliaksandr Liakhovich (20km), Anatoli Homeleu and Uladzimir Kalesnik (both 50km).

Belarus women's team will feature Valeryia Komel, Anastasiya Rarouskaya, Viktoryia Rashchupkina and Anna Terlyukevich (20km), Nadzeya Darazhuk, Anastasiya Rodzkina and Nastassia Yatsevich (35km). Lizaveta Hryshkevich will take part in the junior 10km race.

The European Race Walking Team Championships will act as qualifier for the Olympic Games in Tokyo. For the time being Team Belarus has three licenses earned by Anna Terlyukevich, Viktoryia Rashchupkina (20km) and Dmitri Dziubin (50 km).
