MINSK, 24 May (BelTA) – Belarus clinched nine medals at the European U23 Wrestling Championships in Skopje, North Macedonia, BelTA has learned.
Anastasiya Yanotava (50g) and Tatsiana Paulava (62kg) claimed silver medals. Krystsina Sazykina (59kg) and Anastasiya Zimiankova (72kg) collected bronze medals.
Belarus claimed three bronze medals in the Greco-Roman Wrestling: Uladzislau Prybylski (60kg), Aliaksandr Pechurenka (63kg) and Yauheni Yurou (82kg). The Freestyle Wrestling bronze medals went to Aliaksei Parkhomenka (97kg) and Yaraslau Slavikouski (125kg).
The tournament featured 30 medal events. The overall team standings were topped by Russia with 13 gold, six silver and seven bronze medals. Second was Ukraine (5, 3, 6), with Turkey (3, 4, 7) placing third.
