Belarus win 11 gold medals at Marina Lobach Cup

MINSK, 21 October (BelTA) – Belarusian athletes won 11 gold medals at the 17th edition of the Rhythmic Gymnastics International Tournament for the Prizes of Olympic Champion Marina Lobach. The competitions were held in Minsk on 19-20 October, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Gymnastics Association.

The main prize, Marina Lobach Statuette, went to Darya Tkacheva who won in the Junior All-Around event with the total of 74,200 points. Alina Rechkina (65,250 points) was victorious in the same event among the athletes born in 2007-2008. She surpassed last year's winner Darya Grokhotova. The team gold went to Darya Grokhotova, Alina Rechkina, Arina Krasnorutskaya and Darya Tkacheva.

Two more gold medals went to Arina Krasnorutskaya (19,450 points with the Ball; 18,550 points with the Ribbon). Darya Tkacheva won the Clubs event (19,900 points). Dina Agisheva won the Rope event (18,750 points).

Alina Rechkina won a gold medal in the Clubs and Rope event. Nikol Savchenko won the Ball event, Darya Grokhotova – the Ribbon event.

The Presidential Sport Club instituted presents for all the participants of the competitions, including personal awards in separate nominations. Four Belarusians won such awards. The People's Choice Award went to Polina Slanchevskaya. The Will to Win Award went to Yelizaveta Zorkina. Dina Agisheva took the Smile Award. Darya Grokhotova won in the Hope nomination.

The Marina Lobach Tournament gathered athletes from nine countries at the Rhythmic Gymnastics Center. The competitions were a good rehearsal for many athletes ahead of the European Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships in Kiev.
