MINSK, 5 September (BelTA) – The Belarusian men's team of Vladimir Samsonov, Pavel Platonov and Aliaksandr Khanin went off to a good start at the 2019 European Table Tennis Championships in Nantes, France, blanking Luxembourg 3-0 in Group 6 on 4 September, BelTA has learned.
The only quarterfinal spot will be decided in the Thursday match between Belarus and England which beat Luxembourg 3-1.
The Belarusian women's team of Daria Trigolos, Nadezhda Bogdanova and Alina Nikitchanka lost 1-3 to Belgium in Group 3 opener. On Thursday, Belarus will take on Hungary that routed Belgium 3-0.
The 2019 European Table Tennis Championships will run through 8 September.
