MINSK, 5 October (BelTA) – The Belarusian U17 national ice hockey team won the Bauer Cup in Beijing after defeating Germany 11-0 on the final day of the competitions, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Ice Hockey Federation.
Egor Strelkovsky produced a hat-trick. Miroslav Mikhalyov added two goals. Thanks to this success, the Belarusian team scored 13 points to place first. Earlier, Belarus defeated Finland (3-1), Russia (7-2), the United States (3-1) and lost to Latvia in a shootout (2-3).
The team standings are as follows: Belarus – 13 points, Russia – 11, the United States – 9, Latvia – 9, Finland – 3, and Germany – 0.
