MINSK, 24 May (BelTA) – Belarus has been granted the right to host the 2019 IIHF Ice Hockey U20 World Championship Division I, BelTA has learned.
The decision was taken at the 2019 IIHF Annual Congress in Bratislava. Another bidder for the event was Austria.
The tournament will take place on 8-14 December. Belarus will compete against Austria, Slovenia, Denmark, Latvia and Norway.
Belarus will co-host the 2021 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship with Latvia.
