MINSK, 18 February (BelTA) – Seven Belarusian judokas will take part in the Dusseldorf Grand Slam 2020 which is due in Germany on 21-23 February, BelTA has learned.
Defending Belarus' colors will be Dzmitry Shershan (66kg), Dzmitry Minkou (66kg), Vadzim Shoka (73kg), Yahor Varapayev (90kg), Daniel Mukete (100kg), Aliaksandr Vakhaviak (+100kg) and Uladzislau Tsiarpitski (+100kg).
Some 793 athletes from 121 countries will compete for medals.
A current goal for Belarusian athletes is to earn Olympic qualifying points. Belarusian judoka Maryna Slutskaya (+78kg) clinched silver at the Paris Grand Slam 2020 which was held on 8-9 February.
