Belarus to compete at Russian Biathlon Cup in Tyumen

MINSK, 8 December (BelTA) – Belarusian athletes are set to take part in the third stage of the Russian Biathlon Cup which is to kick off in the Pearl of Siberia sports center in Tyumen, Russia on 8 December, BelTA has learned.

The competition program will open with two sprint races at 9.00 (men) and 12.00 (women). The Belarusian team will be represented by Stsiapan Danilau, Dzmitry Lazouski, Maksim Varabei, Anton Smolski, Raman Yaliotnau, Mikita Labastau, Ivan Tulatin, Ilya Auseyenka, Pavel Belko, Darya Kudayeva, Elena Kruchinkina, Adelina Sabitava, Dzinara Alimbekava, Irina Kruchinkina.

Two pursuit races in Tyumen are scheduled for 10 December. The Russian Biathlon Cup event will wrap up with two mass start races on Sunday. Two stages of the tournament took place in Khanty-Mansiysk and Uvat. Seven out of 12 races were held, with the rest canceled due to frosts. Anton Smolski and Dzinara Alimbekava won the single mixed relay in Uvat.
