Belarus to compete at ISU World Cup Short Track in Japan

MINSK, 28 November (BelTA) – Four Belarusian athletes will compete at the ISU World Cup Short Track Speed Skating in Nagoya, Japan. The competitions will run from 30 November to 1 December, BelTA has learned.

Defending Belarus' national colors in Japan will be Volha Talayeva, Hanna Izafatava, Ivan Logimakhov and Aleksandr Zhermanov. The competitions in Nagoya will feature ten medal events.

At the ISU European Short Track Cup in Bialystok, Poland, Volha Talayeva won bronze medals in the 1,000m and 1,500m events, and also silver in the 500m event. She also, together with Hanna Izafatava, Katsiaryna Chystaya and Arina Kozlova, secured gold in the relay race. Ivan Logimakhov and Aleksandr Zhermanov, together with Heorhi Arlou and Artsem Aliatdzinau, took bronze.
