NUCLEAR POWER IN BELARUS AND WORLDWIDE
MINSK, 25 May (BelTA) – The National Olympic Committee of Belarus and the Polish Olympic Committee will arrange a joint sports event on the Augustow Canal in 2019, BelTA learnt from the press service of Belarus' National Olympic Committee.
The program of the event includes competitions in cycling, track-and-field athletics, kayaking and canoeing. The event will take place in the run-up to the European Games MINSK 2019 and the 100th anniversary of the Polish Olympic Committee.
The decision to hold the event was made during the visit of top officials of the National Olympic Committee of Belarus to the Polish Olympic Committee.
The parties discussed preparations for the European Games MINSK 2019 and the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. Polish specialists offered their help in arranging the transfer of Belarus' delegation from Minsk to Warsaw and back during the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo.
The Belarusian delegation took part in the Fair Play award ceremony that took place in Poland for the 51st time already.
