MINSK, 25 February (BelTA) – The coaching staff of the Belarusian national track and field team named the athletes who will compete in the 2019 European Athletics Indoor Championships in Glasgow on 1-3 March, BelTA has learned from the press service of the Belarusian Athletics Federation.
The list includes 17 athletes including Alina Talay and Elvira Herman in track, Nastassia Mironchyk-Ivanova in long jump, Aliona Dubitskaya in shot put, Maksim Nedasekau in high jump.
Belarus won three medals at the 2017 Belgrade European Championships: silver (Alina Talay in 60m hurdles), two bronze medals (Pavel Selivestrau in high jump and Yulia Leantsiuk in shot put).
In 2015 in Prague, Alina Talay took a gold medal having finished the race in 7.85 seconds. Sviatlana Kudzelich and Yulia Leantsiuk became silver medalists (3,000m and shot put respectively).
