Belarus lose to Latvia in Euro Ice Hockey Challenge in France

MINSK, 10 November (BelTA) – Belarus' national ice hockey team lost to Latvia 5-7 at the Euro Ice Hockey Challenge in Cergy, France, BelTA has learned.

The teams traded goals in the first two periods. Belarusians led 5-3 in the final stanza before losing their advantage with ten minutes left to play.

Dmitry Buinitsky, Dmitry Ambrozheichik, Artyom Levsha, Pavel Boyarchuk and Ruslan Vasilchuk scored for Belarus.

The Belarusian team at the ongoing tournament comprises many young players. Among the experienced players are Artur Gavrus and Geoff Platt.

Belarus will next play France on 10 November and wrap up the tournament against Slovenia on 11 November.
