Belarus kick off UEFA eEURO 2020 qualifier

MINSK, 16 March (BelTA) – Belarus is launching its UEFA eEURO 2020 qualifying campaign on 16 March. Belarus will be represented on the virtual football arena by winners of the national qualifier Piotr Shimansky and Ivan Kozlovsky, BelTA has learned.

In Group F Belarus will face Northern Ireland, Luxembourg, Georgia, Kosovo, and Lithuania. The second legs of the group stage will be played on 30 March. The winner of each group and the best six runners-up qualifying for the 16-team final tournament, which will take place in London on 9 and 10 July.

A victory in a match is given three points, a draw – one point and a defeat – zero. With the equal number of points at the end of the qualifying tournament, additional criteria will be defined according to the UEFA regulations.
