MINSK, 3 October (BelTA) – The Belarusian men's national table tennis team beat Ukraine 3-1 in a home match of the 3rd qualification round to reach the 2019 European Championships Team Events Final Stage, BelTA has learned.
Belarus collected points through Vladimir Samsonov, Pavel Platonov and Alexander Khanin. Belarus defeated Ukraine 3-0 in the first round in Chernigov. At home Belarus celebrated a 3-2 victory over Slovakia. The Group A5 standings are as following: Belarus – 6 points (three matches played), Slovakia – 3 (2), and Ukraine – 3 (3).
The Belarusian women's team has already secured a berth in the final stage of the European Team Championships which is due to take place in Nantes, France in September 2019.
