MINSK, 10 February (BelTA) – Egor Gerasimov of Belarus has jumped from the 90th to his career highest 71st spot in the ATP Rankings, BelTA has learned.
Egor Gerasimov reached the final at the 2020 Tata Open Maharashtra which has recently finished in Pune, India. The 27-year-old player holds 764 points. Ilya Ivashka goes 148th with 369 points. Uladzimir Ignatik is 360th with 103 points.
Novak Djokovic of Serbia tops the rankings with the total of 9,720 points. Second goes Rafael Nadal of Spain (9,395). Third is Roger Federer of Switzerland (7,130).
The WTA Rankings are still topped by Ashleigh Barty of Australia) with 8,367 points. Second goes Simona Halep of Romania (6,101). Karolina Pliskova of the Czech Republic is third (5,290).
As for the Belarusian athletes, Aryna Sabalenka is 13th with 2,820 points, Victoria Azarenka goes 53rd with 1,051 points, Aliaksandra Sasnovich is 113th with 577 points, Olga Govortsova is 187th with 312 points. Last week the Belarusian national team advanced to the 2020 Fed Cup Finals after beating the Netherlands 3-2 in The Hague.
