MINSK, 27 December (BelTA) – The Belarusian handball team drew 26-26 with Qatar in the first friendly, BelTA has learned.
The first half of the match played in Doha ended 14-13 in favor of the host. After the break Yuri Shevtsov's men caught up with the rivals to draw 26-26. Artyom Korolek led his team with six goals.
The second friendly is scheduled for 28 December. In early 2019 the Belarusian team will take part in an international tournament in Palencia, Spain. On 3-5 January Belarus will play Spain, Poland and Saudi Arabia.
