MINSK, 3 October (BelTA) – Belarus beat Indonesia 19-15 at the FIBA 3x3 U23 World Cup 2018 in Xian, China on 3 October, BelTA has learned.
In Preliminary Group B Belarus lost the opener to the Netherlands 11-12. On 5 October Belarus will have two final matches of the first stage against Kazakhstan and Ukraine.
On 3 October Ukraine celebrated a 16-14 win over the Netherlands, while Kazakhstan lost 12-15 to Indonesia. Belarus' team comprises Arina Mosko, Anastasia Sushchik, Anna Lappo and Sabira Agayeva. Yuri Volk is the team's head coach.
Two best teams from each of five qualification groups will advance to the playoffs.
FIBA 3x3 U23 World Cup 2018 will be over on 7 October.
3x3 basketball has been gaining popularity worldwide and will make part of the 2nd European Games MINSK 2019 program.
