MINSK, 1 June (BelTA) – Three teams, with nine points each, are leading the table of the ongoing Belarusian Beach Soccer Championship in Shchuchin, BelTA has learned.
The country's reigning champion Grodnooblsport defeated Polesie Kobrin 15-7, Shchuchin 2-1, and M-City Mozyr 8-3 in the first tour. The team only lost to Kirovsk SDYUSHOR, the silver medalist of the previous championship, 4-5. The Kirovsk team secured victories over Polesie 12-6 and M-City 6-3 and lost to Brest 1-2. The Brest team defeated M-City 7-3 and Polesie 7-5, and lost to Shchuchin 3-6.
The teams overall standings following the first tour: Grodnooblsport, Brest, Kirovsk-SDYUSHOR – nine points each, Shchuchin – 6, M-City – 3, Polesie – 0.
The matches of the next tour are due in Grodno on 6-7 June.
The new season of the beach soccer in Belarus kicked off with the Super Cup match where Grodnooblsport saw off Kirovsk-SDYUSHOR 6-2.
