Belarus' Andrei Gusov to coach Poland's KH Podhale

MINSK, 19 June (BelTA) – Andrei Gusov of Belarus has been named coach of KH Podhale Nowy Targ from Poland, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ice Hockey Federation.

Earlier, Andrei Gusov coached another Polish ice hockey club – GKS Tychy. The Polish club under the tutelage of the Belarusian specialist won two Poland's champion titles, the Cup and the Super Cup of Poland.

In 1994-1997, Andrei Gusov was one of the best players on KH Podhale Nowy Targ. As part of the team the Belarusian player was the country's champion three times. Donning the colors of the team from Malopolska Andrei Gusov earned 128 points (75 goals, 53 assists) in 106 matches.

KH Podhale placed third in the previous season that was cut short due to the coronavirus pandemic.
