MINSK, 7 March (BelTA) - Former World No.1 Victoria Azarenka of Belarus downed young compatriot Vera Lapko 6-2, 6-3 in her first match at the BNP Paribas Open to set up a second-round clash with No.10 seed Serena Williams, BelTA has learned.
The two players last faced each other in the Indian Wells final in 2016. Then, the Belarusian celebrated the victory.
