MINSK, 27 June (BelTA) – The Austrian Embassy in Belarus invites for the Day of Austria in the main fan zone of the 2nd European Games near the Sports Palace on 29 June, BelTA learned from the Austrian diplomatic mission in Minsk.
“Austria will introduce its athletes and present its culture. Fifty-seven athletes from Austria are competing in the 2nd European Games. In general, Austrians are actively inclined people. They lead an active lifestyle, love to spend a lot of time outdoors, love to ski or dance, do rock climbing or cycling and take care of health. With its mountains and lakes, ski resorts and numerous ballroom halls, Austria is a good place for all these activities,” the embassy said.
During the Day of Austria event in the fan zone the young Belarusian gymnasts and professional dancers from the Elmayer school in Vienna will showcase how to combine sport, culture and art in the Austrian way. The program will also feature a virtual skiing and snowboarding trip in Tyrol to the Austrian music.
The Austrian athletes will also share their experience of the competitions in Belarus and will show the fans the medals they won.
