Aryna Sabalenka 13th in WTA rankings

MINSK, 3 February (BelTA) – Belarus' Aryna Sabalenka has lost one position in the latest WTA rankings, BelTA has learned.

Aryna Sabalenka was 12th before the start of the 2020 Australian Open. Now the Belarusian goes 13th with 2,820 points. Former world number one Victoria Azarenka is currently 53rd with 1,051 points, Aliaksandra Sasnovich - 113th (577 points), Olga Govortsova - 187th (312 points). This week the Belarusian tennis players will face the Netherlands as part of the Fed Cup qualifier.

Ashleigh Barty of Australia (8,387 points) tops the WTA rankings and is followed by Simona Halep of Romania (6,101 points) and Karolina Pliskova of the Czech Republic (5,290 points). Sofia Kenin of the United States, the winner of the 2020 Australian Open, went up from the 15th to 7th place with the total of 4,495 points.

The ATP rankings are topped by Novak Djokovic of Serbia (9,720 points), the winner of the 2020 Australian Open. Second goes Rafael Nadal of Spain with 9,395 points. Roger Federer of Switzerland is third with 7,130. Egor Gerasimov of Belarus is currently 90th with the total of 620 points. Ilya Ivashka of Belarus is 152nd with 344 points.
