MINSK, 22 August (BelTA) - Anastasiya Shkurdai of Belarus placed fifth in the women's 100m backstroke, clocking 1:01.20 in the finals of the 2019 FINA World Junior Championships that are running in Budapest, Hungary through 25 August, BelTA has learned.
Canada's Jade Hannah won the event with 59.63. Claire Curzan of the United States clocked 1:00.00 to finish with the silver medal. Russia's Daria Vaskina finished .02 behind Curzan to grab the bronze medal with 1:00.02.
The Belarusian team also comprises Alyona Semizhon, Anton Remez, Ivan Shamshurin, and Arseniy Borzhakov.More about Sport
