MINSK, 29 July (BelTA) – Aliona Dubitskaya was victorious at the national shot-put tournament which took place near the Palace of Sports in Minsk on 28 July, BelTA has learned.
Aliona Dubitskaya sent her shot flying out to 19.19m. Alena Pasechnik followed with 18.19m. Alena Abramchuk was third with 16.49m.
The event featured 19 athletes (nine women and ten men).
Chairman of the Belarusian Athletics Federation Vadim Devyatovsky told the media earlier that the Belarus Athletics Cup demonstrated good results.
The first big tournament since the start of the coronavirus pandemic was the event at the National Athletics Olympic Center on 25-26 June. The Belarusian Athletics Championships are due to take place at Dinamo Stadium in Minsk on 31 July – 2 August.
