Alimbekava 7th in IBU Women's World Cup Total Score

MINSK, 15 March (BelTA) – Belarus' Dzinara Alimbekava goes seventh in the IBU Women's World Cup Total Score ahead of the final, 10th stage, BelTA has learned.

At the BMW IBU World Cup Biathlon in Nove Mesto, the Czech Republic Dzinara Alimbekava made it into the top three for the third time this season finishing 2nd in the Pursuit. She was also 6th in the Sprint. The leader of the Belarusian women's team currently goes with 652 points. As for the other Belarusian biathletes, Hanna Sola goes 27th with 252 points, Elena Kruchinkina is 33rd with 223 points, and Iryna Kryuko is 49th with 118 points.

The IBU Women's World Cup Total Score is topped by Norway's Tiril Eckhoff with 1,043 points. She is followed by Marte Olsbu Roeiseland of Norway with 903 points. Sweden's Hanna Oeberg (824) goes third. Norway leads the IBU Women's Nations Cup Score with 7,069 points. Sweden is second with 6,988 points and Germany is third with 6,865 points. Belarus goes 6th with 6,217 points, 46 points behind Russia.

Johannes Boe of Norway tops the Men's World Cup Total Score with 1,011 points. Second goes Norway's Sturla Holm Laegreid with 986 points. Third is France's Quentin Fillon Maillet with 872 points. As for the Belarusian athletes, Sergey Bocharnikov goes 31st with 198 points, Anton Smolski is 32nd with 196 points, Raman Yaliotnau is 54th with 69 points, Maksim Varabei is 58th with 56 points and Mikita Labastau is 73rd with 20 points. Belarus is eighth in the IBU Man's Nations Cup Score with a total of 5,253 points. Norway leads the standings with 7,849 points, France goes second with 7,108 points and Germany is third with 6,794 points.

This season's final stage will take place in Oestersund, Sweden this week. The competition program will include men's and women's sprints on 19 March, two individual races on 20 March and two mass starts on 21 March.
